Onion Marmalade Recipe

A very healthy marmalade that si easy to prepare
Yield: 6    Preparation Time: 5 minutes    Cooking Time: 10 minutes
Easy to make and adds a little zest to all kinds of meat dishes.


1kg onions
5 tablespoons red wine vinegar
100g brown sugar
2 tablespoons oil

Recipe Instructions

Make the marmalade.
Peel and chop the onions and fry them gently in the oil until they are soft. Increase the heat and add the red wine vinegar and the sugar. Cook, stirring continuously until it turns sticky.

    It does take longer than 10 minutes but its definately worth it. Imagine those slow-fried onions you’d put on a sausage at a bbq, in a jar that you can have anytime.
