A strong salad that goes well with indian food

This is a salad with a strong taste that goes well with Indian food. Make with raw onion, cucumber and mint.

Ingredients

1 large onion
½ a small cucumber
A pinch of chilli powder
½ teaspoon of dried mint
1 teaspoon of sugar
Juice of ½ a lemon
Salt

Recipe Instructions

Prepare the onions.
Peel the onions and cut them in half. Slice the halves thinly and separate the pieces of onions with your fingers.

Prepare the cucumber.
Peel the cucumber and slice it into thin narrow strips.

Mix the salad.
Mix together the vegetables with the mint, sugar and chilli powder. Add the lemon juice a little at a time and taste before adding more. Season with a little salt at the end.
