An easy snack to prepare that can be eaten at any time.

2 onions, finely chopped
15gr butter
225gr cheddar cheese, grated
1 measure Short crust pastry
4 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Recipe Instructions

Preheat the oven to 200C.

Make the pastry.
Make the pastry as per the instructions and place it in the fridge to chill.

Cook the filling.
Melt the butter over a low heat in a frying pan and add the onions. Fry the onions until they are just softening. Remove from the stove and place them in a mixing bowl with the cheese and parsley. Mix together well until the cheese has melted.

Make the pasties.
Remove the pastry from the fridge and cut it into 4 pieces. Roll each piece of pastry out into a 15cm diameter round. Place the filling in equal parts on top of each pastry round. Fold over the other side of the pastry and crimp the edges to prevent the filling from leaking out.

Bake the pasties.
Flour a baking sheet and lay the pasties on top. Brush them with milk or beaten egg and place them in the oven. Bake the pasties for 30 minutes and then serve.
